Hustle of the Week: Building Your Own Paid Community
So you have a loyal following, and you want to monetise it. Good, well you're in the right place. Because in this blog, I'm going to breakdown how you can get your audience to pay you for your knowledge or services. During the past few users, info product has been HUGE. You can see all the top names in all niches utilising this method because realistically, if you can make an extra 6 figures per month for telling people what you know - why wouldn't you? But let's start at the beginning, Mr. Tai Lopez
2015 — Tai Lopez, a guy you've probably seen in that "Here in My Garage" video with the flashy Lamborghini, knows how to turn his online fame into cash. He caught everyone's attention by flaunting his lavish lifestyle while preaching about the importance of learning and self-improvement. That video blew up, making him a sensation. Tai made his money by cashing in on his popularity. He sold online courses, mentoring programs, and books, capitalizing on his charismatic persona and the allure of his seemingly successful lifestyle. Essentially, he turned his massive following into a business empire by sharing valuable content in the self-help and business development realms. Now, we can discuss the quality of his service/product (wasn't great) all day - doubt we'd get anywhere with it. But it's undeniable that this man had a nick for selling his knowledge and in the process possibly dreams...
What can you sell? Well, anything people would pay for - right? It’s pretty simple, if you can provide something people want/need, then chances are: you can sell it. The more trendy services at the moment consist of: Sneaker Reselling, Amazon FBA, Sports Bettors, Trading and Drop Shipping. These few niches are obviously just a drop in the bucket as you can really get creative with your offer. You can teach something that makes people a lot of money, you know something that makes people a lot of money or generally offer something of value to people. All can be monetised. We can go further and split these into mid-high ticket offers where you offer slightly more hands on help to people. Mid-high ticket offers obviously fetch more money but with lower volume while low ticket offers cost less but can be sold at a higher volume.
Now, we get to the “how”. It’s all based on your influence, how you’re able to control the emotions of your followers while earning their trust. If you’re starting small, one of the biggest things is being able to be consistent without seeing results while building connnections with info-sellers like yourself. You’re gonna want to attach yourself to any info-seller you see, with big potential. Because, not only can you learn from them - but with constant social media interaction you’ll almost always share the same audience as them. It’s important to note that, along the way you need to be constantly talking to your audience. Attacking their weak points, repeatedly chipping away from their exterior, which will slowly and slowly begin revealing their financial insecurities - AND BANG! They’re ready to change, how can they change? YOU. That’s how you sell, reaffirm everything they’re only 50% convinced of within themselves and show them the light; show them how you’re gonna solve their problem.
So where are we at now? You know you're a good fit and you know you have a skill to monetise. The next step is where you launch your community. To be honest, this is the easiest step of it all, though dependant on your past experience with these platforms you could find it relatively hard - at first. We talked about low, and high ticket offers. Obviously, as a high ticket offer is more personal, you will more than likely be closing your leads via zoom/google call in which you'd probably invoice them directly or offer them the best method of payment that suits them. Though there are much better options for low ticket offers, companies like Whop.com have really changed the landscape of paid communities. They operate via Discord servers.
This blog is really a rough guide, no ones gonna show you the route to millions. Which is probably the biggest lesson out of all of this, it’s not easy - nothing is easy. But if you consistently work on your brand, and you have something to offer, there is absolutely no reason why you won’t make it in this space. If you’re consistent for a large amount of time and you have yet to see and results, then chances are you’re doing something wrong. Take complete responsisbility and you will thrive. I look forward to buying your course in a few months, get to it!
